I’ve been passionately interested in firearms since childhood and a reactive steel target designer and manufacturer for over 25 years. For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of instructing defensive firearms skills to sworn law enforcement, military and civilian students.
Safe Direction® Firearm Safety Ballistic Containment Systems (patent pending) offer convenient, portable gun handling safety and liability protection. Comparable NIJ-IIIA ballistic protection is backed by our Ballistic-Seal® energy absorbing/dispersal panel that minimizes blunt trauma damage to the supporting surface. Our ballistic containment products are warranted to contain a single unintentionally discharged standard duty / defensive handgun cartridge through .45 ACP in both standard and +P ratings.
Safe Direction® Reactive Steel Targets are designed to be responsive as well as challenging. They require no power source for resetting or registering hits. We utilize Mil-Spec AR 500 steel and employ construction and assembly techniques that minimize splash-back and maximize target longevity and portability. Currently, the FBI, DEA, and many state law enforcement agencies use our targets to train their officers. The US Marines use our Rotator® patent # US 7,114,725 B2 for pre-deployment defensive skills training.
